Enjoying Life & Volunteering

Enjoying life and giving back to my community is very important to me. I’m a firm believer that if you’re not happy, you can’t operate at your best.

Cycling

What started as just a means to get physically fit, morphed into a means to stay mentally fit and inject the competitiveness that I’ve been missing.

Mental fortitude and tenacity are two of my strengths and road cycling fuels them every time I hit the road.

Sights and sounds are always incredible along the journey. In 2023 I visited Taos, NM for a solo cycling vacation. I rode the Mora Loop, Enchanted Circle, and a quick trip to Taos Ski Valley. It was amazing seeing these landscapes without snow while climbing impressive ascents.

Hiking

Another covid hobby that we picked up. In late 2020 Trisha and I visited Big Bend for the first time then again in early 2023. Trisha loved it so much that it inspired the branding and interior design of her med spa Bene Skin & Laser.

We now have a goal of visiting as many national parks as we can.

SNOVID-21 in Taylor

The snow apocalypse of 2021 in Texas was devastating for many people. In Taylor my friends took it upon ourselves to house the homeless in hotels, deliver home prepared food, take over meals on wheels, and distribute water from Texas Beer Co’s tanks.

The incredible thing about small towns is a few people can make large things happen.
